Bruce Montagne has been traveling for more than fifteen years photographing some of the most beautiful locales in Canada and the northern United States. His journeys have taken him from the coast of Nova Scotia to photograph baby seals on the sea ice to the jagged peaks of the Canadian Rockies. An area much closer to his home, however, has captured his heart. He has taken thousands of images of Lake Superior\’s rugged and remote coastline and its resident wildlife. Though he photographs in many parks and refuges, Montagne seeks the wild places beyond the beaten path for inspiration. Montagne\’s images have been published in many books, calendars, and magazines as well as on greeting cards, postcards and posters. His clients include National Wildlife, Birder\’s World, Smithsonian, Voyageur Press, Northword Press, Sierra Club, World Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy, Audubon and many others.
